Gram Tarang won the 'Best Performing Center' award for the Jatni center at the NSDC Partner meet 2014. There are over 5,000 centers operated by NSDC partners across 396 districts and being selected for this award is indeed a big achievement for Gramtarang.

The National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), a Public Private Partnership of the Union Finance Ministry, introduced AnnualPerformance Awards to recognize the contribution made by NSDC Partners in transforming the skills landscape and help bridge the skills gap in the country. The first such Performance Awards for the financial year 2011-12 were given out by Executive Director in the Prime Minister’s National Council on Skill Development, Mr JP Rai, and NSDC Chairman, Mr MV Subbiah, on the concluding day of the 3rd NSDC Partners’ Meeting in Delhi on June 09, 2012. Gram Tarang Employability Training Services was adjudged the ‘Overall Best Performer’ during the last financial year.

The jury took into account Gram Tarang’s presence in Naxal-affected areas within the geographies from where it operates and its impact on the local population for naming it the winner of the biggest award for exceeding its overall target for the financial year by training over 6,200 youth with a strong placement record of around 81% with over 75% of the candidates having SC/ST/OBC status and mostly originating from disadvantaged districts of Orissa & Andhra Pradesh.

 
 

With great pleasure and pride our President, Prof Mukti Mishra received the Roll of Honour certificate in the Skills Champion on 6thSeptember 2012 : Emerging Warrior category in recognition of extraordinary contribution in developing technologies, distinctive training solutions, path breaking research and your commitment towards the skilling movement in the country. This is the second award we are winning from FICCI. The winners were felicitated during the inaugural ceremony of the 5th Global Skills Summit on 6th September, 2012 at FICCI Auditorium, New Delhi by Mr. Kapil Sibal, Honourable Minister of Human Resources & Development. The summit was attended by 500 plus delegates from more than 8 countries. Mr. S Ramadorai, Advisor to Prime Minister on Skill Development were also be present during the ceremony.
